Project Objective: The sustainable development of the mountainous rural area, the increase of the attraction of mountain dwelling, the revival and increase of the profitability of traditional households/mountainous farms by creating and adapting a system of local development models based on higher valorisation of natural zonal resources in high quality mountain products and at affordable marketing prices for farmers

Specific objectives:

• Assessment of the organoleptic, physico-chemical and nutritional characteristics of the vegetal and animal resources with potential certification as mountain product in the mountainous area.

• Preparation of the necessary framework for implementing good practice guides to farmers/processors

• Awareness of consumers and local communities/stakeholders on the need to encourage the consumption of mountain products to sustain peasant households and reduce mountain rural depopulation.
