Project objective: The application of spectral and chromatographic methods to stabilize the unique characteristics of some traditional Romanian wine varieties and increasing of the food safety sector in the context of an extended European market. The pursuit of establishing the characteristics of the wines confers the uniqueness, specificity and quality, as well as the achievement of an imprint of the Romanian wines. The uniqueness, from the point of view of quality, for traditional varieties, are convenient according to the European policies "food from the birth place", which is in accordance with the concept of personalized nutrition.

Specific objectives:

  • The analysis of the current stage of spectral method, chromatographic and imprinting in the analysis of wines in the field of research at national and international level, developping a unitary strategy in order to identify the characteristics of some varieties of traditional Romanian wines.
  • Elaboration of an appropriate framework from the point of view of traceability, in accordance with the laws and food safety rules for the analysis of the uniqueness characteristics of some traditional Romanian wines by spectral (NMR, FT-IR), imprinting (eNose), and chromatographic (HS) methods - SPME-GC-MS), in geographical and climatic context.
  • The integration of the methods of analysis correlated with statistical analyzes in the elaboration of a unitary package of characterization of the Romanian traditional wine varieties, with an emphasis on the varieties Feteasea Neagră, Feteasca white, Feteasca Royal and traditional Romanian varieties is cultivated in remaining areas.
