The FutureFoodS Partnership, funded under the Horizon Europe programme, is launching a call for qualified experts to take part in evaluating proposals submitted to the FutureFoodS Call 2025 “Accelerating Food Sustainability” — an initiative dedicated to transnational projects aimed at accelerating the transition toward sustainable, healthy and resilient food systems in Europe.

We are looking for experts for the international panel
Within this call, applicants have the opportunity to join the International Expert Panel (IEP) – a group of independent experts responsible for:
evaluating pre-proposals and full proposals
conducting assessments in a two-stage process
participating in online and in-person evaluation meetings
potentially serving as rapporteurs or panel chairs to help build consensus and establish the final ranking of projects
Requirements for experts
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:
relevant expertise aligned with the topics of the 2025 call
not be applicants or part of any consortium submitting proposals under this call
availability throughout the full evaluation period (January – October 2026)
Evaluations will follow the guiding principles of the FutureFoodS Directorate, including a systemic approach to food systems, interdisciplinarity, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability.
Remuneration and benefits for experts
Selected experts will receive compensation for each proposal evaluated and for every evaluation meeting they attend. Travel and accommodation costs for in-person meetings will also be reimbursed based on actual expenses. Additional payments may be offered for special roles such as chair or rapporteur.
